An old friend got in touch with me right smack in the middle of Daniel’s visit to install the solar panels, and at the same time, Franklin, David, and I had been discussing seeing the newest John Wick installation, Ballerina. Since my friend had been a regular to my Movie Night On The Lawn event, I asked if he’d be interested in coming down for another one to see it?
He said he wouldn’t miss it, so I started planning another lawn party. One of my goals for the RV was to have a way to hang my outdoor movie screen, so now was as good a time as any! I found some removable wall hooks that have a bracket that stays on the wall but allows the hook to be taken off. I’m not sure what purpose this serves in a house, but it’s helpful for putting hooks on the outside of an RV that I can take off while it’s in motion and only put back up when I want to use them.
Anyway, I found some hooks and picked a spot to stretch the screen across. The RV was parked so that the starboard side was the accessible side. Normally I would want a movie screen on the port side, preferably under the awning, but there’s no reason I can’t have it set up both ways, for no matter which way the RV is parked at any given time.
I hung the screen, put out the Citronella tiki torches, Daniel gifted me with a new portable BBQ since the firepit had rusted out, wheeled my housemate’s movie theater popcorn machine, and set up the projector.

And then all we had to do was wait for sunset! Even the neighbors stopped by for a few minutes. The hooks held up great and we had tons of food and the movie was entertaining. This should be a lot of fun while on the road!
